Fixed Antennae Systems
SSE is now the manufacturer of the Series 8345 4.5M antenna system. This high quality antenna is the ultimate platform for our multi-beam feed system. ELEVATION-OVER-AZIMUTH MOUNT - the 4.5 meter earth station has a standard elevation-over-azimuth mount, engineered to provide continuous satellite arc coverage from any location in the contiguous United States.

Steerable Antennae Systems
Our engineers have designed and developed a Steerable Mount to interface with a new or existing Series 8345 4.5 meter antenna system. The interface is a high stability design providing extremely accurate antenna pointing even in high wind conditions. Precision jackscrews and bearings are used to insure smooth and controlled antenna movement.

Motorized Feed Systems
The MFS series provides a new level of industrial-duty Motorized Feed Systems. They are available with our SSE steerable antenna systems and are an easy retrofit for virtually any existing prime-focus antenna. All MFS feed systems feature discreet focal-distance adjustments so that the feedhorn can be positioned to accurately illuminate the reflector.

Modified Frequencies C-Band
In support of the new SES-6 Satellite at 40.5ºW, Superior Satellite Engineers designed a Feedhorn and LNB system that operates in “Modified” C-band Frequencies. The operating frequencies are 3.625- 4.2 GHz and 4.5-4.8 GHz for a total of 800 MHz, providing bandwidth capacity for 40 transponders. The SES-6 modified-frequencies Satellite is currently targeted for users in certain Latin American countries where the expanded 4.5-4.8 GHz bandwidth is approved for commercial operations.

In support of the new SES-6 Satellite at 40.5ºW, Superior Satellite Engineers with Norsat International Inc. designed a new LNB that operates in “modified” C-band frequencies. The operating frequencies are 3.625-4.8GHz. This new modified-frequencies satellite is currently targeted for users in certain Latin American countries where the expanded 4.5-4.8Ghz bandwidth is approved for commercial operations. With more regions moving to approve this bandwidth for commercial use and the benefit of nearly doubling transponder capacity we anticipate more satellites to be configured with “Modified Frequencies” in the future.
